The Mirror Boy takes us on an incredible trip to Gambia, as seen through the eyes of a 12-year-old boy born in London. Having lived all his life in England, Tijan and his mother leave the country to go live in Gambia. At dusk on the day of his arrival, Tijan sees a boy who smiles at him and disappears immediately. The next day, he strays from his mother and finds himself alone in a crowded market. That is when the same boy reappears and invites Tijan to follow him. Tijan will then discover his origins and become a man.
