Traditional beliefs, revealed religions and sects confront each other in modern Africa. Under Oath explores the trouble that can occur when a man faces a choice for the salvation of his soul. This is what happens to Nyama, a Dozo hunter, who loses his memory due to a trauma and is found in the forest by a group of preachers who welcome him into their community. As soon as he recovers from the shock, Nyama is torn between getting back to the Dozo brotherhood and pursuing his conversion to Christianity. A powerful, award-winning film.
